Strangereal Story | Blitzkrieg, a Refugee Carrier, and a Fabricated Legend

Written by Sunao Katabuchi, the campaign is set in July 2029 within the franchise's beloved fictional universe of Strangereal. The story opens with a sudden, devastating blitzkrieg by the neighboring Republic of Sotoa, which rapidly captures Theve, the capital of the Federation of Central Usea (FCU). With the FCU military in ruins and its navy destroyed, you play as a pilot rescued from the sea by an obsolete, refugee-crowded aircraft carrier called the Endurance.

Command bestows upon you the legendary callsign "Wings of Theve" as a symbol of hope for the shattered military. The twist: the legend was entirely fabricated to maintain morale. You must now fly to actually live up to the myth and reclaim your homeland.

Joker Squadron | Your Crew Aboard the Endurance

As commander of Joker Squadron, you issue real-time commands to wingmen during flight and build relationships between missions:

Ellington Baxter ("Professor"): A former university lecturer who serves as the squad's stable, analytical backbone.
